Two players claims victory for Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf tournament

Colleen Pike and Michelle Scott claimed the Ekurhuleni Senior Women’s Golf’s (ESWG) January title during the organisation’s monthly competition at ERPM Golf Club on January 22.

Pike and Scott scored 50 points for their victory with the team Lucia Wilson and Carla Varvangos second on 45 points.

The ESWG also announce an 18-women to team to represent Ekurhuleni 30th national senior women’s championships at Irene Country Club in Centurion from May 25 to 28.

The team: Sue Baugh (captain), Barbara Collett, Bev Kroutz, Colleen Pike, Hilde Meyer, Julia Huttington, Lenore Simpson, Lezette Vermaak, Lorraine Cross, Lynda Smit, Madie Baressi, Magda van Zyl, Martie Becker, Noreen Hughes, Salie Morgan, Sonja Louw, Tania du Preez and Veronica Tredoux.

Carol Allers, Leslie Nienaber and Peachy Swarts are reserves.

“We wish them all the best for the tournament,” said ESWG chairperson Charmaine Stone.
