Edenvale Senior Citizens Society celebrates love

The next special lunch is set to be held will be on March 19 and will have a St Patrick's Day theme.

Edenvale Senior Citizens Society’s St Valentine’s lunch went off without a hitch as community members came together to celebrate the month of love.

Hosted at Edenvale Community Centre, the February 13 lunch saw 88 senior citizens attend.

The guests enjoyed a delicious three-course meal for only R75 for ESCS members.

Edenvale Senior Citizens Society welcomed community members when it recently hosted a St Valentine’s themed lunch.

Committee member Linda Ranwell described the lunch as being a resounding success.

She said these special lunches are one of the ways the Edenvale Senior Citizens Society raises money to continue the good work it does for the seniors of Edenvale and surrounds.

R175 per annum is charged to join with many activities available to participate in.

The society offers darts, yoga, art classes, table tennis, and gym, as well as a group of women who sit and knit for charity on a Monday morning.

Some of the community members who attended the St Valentine’s themed lunch on February 13.

Meals are available every day however they must be booked in advance.

The next special lunch will be on March 19 and will have a St Patrick’s Day theme.

Members and non-members are welcome to book.
