Edenvale gymnast shines on a global stage
This achievement not only highlights his dedication to the sport but ensures that South Africa remains represented at the highest level of international acrobatic competitions.
Edenvale’s Dmitry Demianenko has again put South Africa on the global gymnastics map after completing a prestigious gymnastics judging course.
At the end of 2024, Demianenko travelled to Switzerland to complete the Intercontinental Acrobatic Gymnastics Judging Course which he passed with flying colours.
Officially requalified for the 2025-2028 cycle, Demianenko stands as the only International Acrobatic Gymnastics Judge in Africa.

Demianenko who is more than a judge has a strong passion for gymnastics.
A former international medallist in acrobatics Demianenko has spent over two decades coaching athletes at the Masters Gymnastics Club in Highway Gardens.

Under his guidance, gymnasts of all levels, from enthusiastic three-year-olds to world-class competitors, have honed their skills in acrobatics and trampoline gymnastics.
Many have gone on to represent South Africa on the international stage.
