Little Eden takes disability awareness to Reddam House

The school’s executive head, Stephen Hazley and Bregita Basterfield each spent a day in a wheelchair of raise awareness for the NPO and the challenges faced by people living with disabilities.

The NPO, Little Eden Society, recently visited Reddam House Bedfordview to share more about their organisation and work.

The CEO, Ann Coetzee, addressed the learners, speaking about the causes of brain injuries and explaining the mission and services of Little Eden.

Michael Mamabolo, the NPO’s development manager, addressed the learners about the significance of giving back and the value of treating everyone with equality and dignity.

The school’s Bregita Basterfield and executive head Stephen Hazley each spent a day in a wheelchair to raise awareness for the NPO.

The school will run an awareness campaign over the coming weeks, and Reddam will name their mascot as part of the initiative.
