Youth attend Blackpool nationals alongside legends

The 2024/2025 Junior SA Blackball Championships in Primrose showcased rising stars like 7-year-old Aarnan Haribhai and featured cue sport legend Harry 'Houdini' Martin.

The Cue Sport Centre in Primrose recently hosted the 2024/2025 Junior SA Blackball Championships.

Attracting a diverse crowd of young and old, enthusiasts from across the country flocked to the event to witness top-level junior talent.

Harry ‘Houdini’ Martin, a four-time SA men’s number 1 and 3-times SA socials singles champion.

What stood out was the presence of legendary players, who not only enjoyed the matches but also shared their expertise with the next generation of champions.

Notably, KwaZulu-Natal’s team included exceptionally young talent, such as seven-year-old Aarnan Haribhai, who competed in the under-15 category.

The event also welcomed renowned figures like Harry ‘Houdini’ Martin, a four-time SA Men’s number one (four years in a row) and three-time SA Social Singles Champion (also three consecutive years).
