Bedfordview Primary School has fun for a great cause
Bedfordview Primary School’s popular Annual Fun Day Fundraiser to help with expansions and upgrades of school projects.
The Bedfordview Primary School community came together for a day full of laughs, thrills, and good vibes at the Annual Fun Day Fundraiser, which took place on September 6.
Children, parents, and families from the school were in attendance. All the fun was for a great cause, as the funds raised will help expand the school’s solar power project and upgrade the school’s various facilities.
This year’s Under The Sea theme brought a splash of excitement with a line-up of new inflatable options, including a giant ship, towering water slides, and a 40m² big bounce arena.

There was also an inflatable Tombola stand, and for the first time, the famous dunk-a-teacher tank made waves.
Teachers and coaches took turns getting dunked with big smiles, while Principal Greg Bryant was the last to take a splash in the chilly, murky water, ending the day on a fun high note.
“Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who joined us and supported this year’s fun day, from small sponsors to big supporters. Your generosity and energy truly made the day special,” said Principal Bryant.

Entertainment was pumping all day with performances by the Jeppe Boys Marimba Band, Drum Busters, and a line-up of dancers including the lively Divya Art of Dance and Je Danse School.
While the mums were put on the spot with a Zumba display that got their legs and hearts pumping, dads enjoyed viewing a range of cars.
The craft market had over 50 small businesses showcasing their creations — from sauces and dips, healing goodies, and jewellery, to handmade leather and crochet crafts.

The Kissing Booth run by non-profit organisation Adora-Bull Terrier Rescue featured bullies that stole plenty of hearts and kisses.
Hot dogs, boerie rolls, and burgers were popular favourites, but adventurous eaters enjoyed exotic options like Halal dishes, Ethiopian, and Indian cuisine.
Guests stayed refreshed at hydration stations, while ice creams and bubble teas cooled everyone down. Parents needing a break did so in the café at Excelsior House.

Mpho Ngombane, the Parents’ Association Fun Day chairperson, voiced her gratitude:
“I’m blown away by the incredible turnout! I’m so proud to have been part of organising and running this fantastic day. What a celebration of our school and community!”
