Bedfordview Best Pavements Competition 2025: Enter by November 20

Before November 20, Bedfordview residents may enter Better Bedfordview’s Best Pavements Competition.

Bedfordview residents are invited to enter the Better Bedfordview Best Pavements Competition before entries close on November 20.

This is the sixth year that community improvement non-profit organisation Better Bedfordview has held the competition.

“It was launched to encourage everyone to have clean, neat, pretty pavements, which enhance the area,” explained Better Bedfordview chairperson Marina Constas.

“By entering the competition, residents can show their commitment to a clean, green, beautiful, safe area where property values grow and people are proud and happy to live and work. They can also inspire others to take pride in their pavements.”

Residents can enter their own pavement or nominate a friend or neighbour’s pavement. There is a separate category for complexes.

To enter, residents should email photographs and the address of the pavement to info@betterbedfordview.org.za
“This competition, which has gone from strength to strength since it was started, aims to uplift and beautify Bedfordview.

“Everyone can make a positive difference in our suburb by looking after their pavement. Studies show that criminals are deterred by a neat, well-maintained neighbourhood where community members are active and engaged and care about their environment,” Constas said.
