A variety of German flavour beer, good food and great company bring the community together at the third annual Schwaben Meats Beer Festival.

Meadowdale played host to traditional German flavour, good food, and great company during the third annual Schwaben Meats Beer Festival.

Theresa Botha Sebastian, owner of Schwaben Meats, shared that the menu featured eisbein and pretzels alongside a variety of gin and beer on tap.

According to its website, Schwaben Meats proudly carries forward the legacy of Werner Sebastian, a third-generation Austrian Fleischermeister (master butcher).

Decades ago, Sebastian established a strong meat infrastructure in South Africa, driven by his passion for authentic European butchery and an unwavering commitment to excellence.

Now, with his family dedicated to reviving this heritage, he is passing down his exceptional skills and traditions to a new generation.
