Edenglen High celebrates strong matric results

"We are extremely proud of the achievements of the Class of 2025."

Edenglen High School’s Class of 2025 returned to school to collect their matric results, greeted by smiles, reunions, and a celebratory atmosphere.

The class achieved a 95% pass rate, with 90% of learners eligible for tertiary study, and over 220 distinctions were awarded.

With four distinctions Stefan Lopes will be studying medicine. He can be seen with his mother Christina.

Principal Trevor Weinerlein said the year was exceptional, with one learner achieving seven distinctions, two earning six, eight with five, and 13 with four.

Top achiever Jotham Francis earned distinctions in English, Afrikaans, mathematics, life orientation, business studies, accounting, and physics. He hopes to study actuarial sciences.

Fellow high achiever Kesh Nair, who attained six distinctions, also plans to pursue actuarial sciences.

“We are extremely proud of the achievements of the Class of 2025,” said Weinerlein.
