NASA astronaut ignites space dreams at Assumption Convent

Assumption Convent School was thrilled to host NASA astronaut Dorothy Metcalf-Lindenburger as part of the Living Maths National Space Tour.
An educator, geologist and passionate advocate for STEAM education. In 2010, she travelled aboard the Space Shuttle Discovery on the STS-131 mission to the International Space Station, completing 238 orbits of the Earth.

She was also part of a historic milestone when, for the first time, four women were in space simultaneously.
