Horwood’s Farm friends thanks community

The Friends of Horwood’s Farm would like to thank the volunteers, artists and exhibitors who participated in the 67 minutes for Mandela Day clean-up at the homestead on Sunday, July 21.

The turn-out of the community exceeded all expectations, resulting in a much larger clean-up than anticipated.

The Girl Guides, the Scouts and children of all ages arrived in large numbers to participate which was very encouraging, not only to ensure the on-going care of our heritage site in Edenvale, but to realise the importance of community participation no matter your age.

Thank you to our sponsors and contributors, Henry Sole, Nikki Van Der Walt, Carol Rogers, Brad Schott and ‘Duke’ Lendrum – without whom the day would not have been as successful.

We appreciate our Councillors, Heather Hart and Bill Rundle, for their on-going and unconditional support for this community initiative.

At Caxton, we employ humans to generate daily fresh news, not AI intervention. Happy reading!
