Editor – I am a resident of Kensington and like everyone else, I am quick to criticise the municipality for not fixing the paving on curbs or not generally maintaining the suburban infrastructure.
However, I have witnessed how a homeowner built a beautiful double garage onto their lovely house/property, thereby improving the overall value and appearance of the property. They then simply dumped the building rubble on the koppie that they live right next to.
And to top it all there is a no dumping sign.
It is quite evident the rubble is theirs as their home is a yellow/sand colour and so is the paint colour on the rubble.
Their action makes no sense and is disgraceful. I believe they should be named and shamed.
It would be great if their actions could be brought to the public’s attention.
