Resident thankful for assisting lost pets

EDITOR – I would like to extend a very big thank you Mathew and Lee from Dowerglen for phoning the SPCA emergency number and Thomas from the Edenvale SPCA.

You all came to the rescue of my beloved two German Shepherd dogs which were left with a caregiver when I was on holiday.

The dogs managed to escape from my property during a horrific thunderstorm on the night of December 25 at about 11pm.

Words cannot describe how thankful I am to you all.

It is compelling to know that certain people can make such an effort to save animals in distress, late at night during a thunderstorm.

Thank you to our SPCA for the emergency rescue number and thank you Thomas for taking such good care of my pets until they were collected early on December 26.

I feel blessed by all this.

Thank you Mathew, Lee and all concerned once again.
