EDITOR – My friend and I had to walk to Pick n Pay from the bottom end of Third Avenue in Edenvale recently.
My friend is over 80 and I am 63 years old.
We both suffer from severe arthritis and we were battling to walk uphill.
I asked two people if they could assist us with a lift to the shop and they both said no.
It is such a shame to see what has become of people.
Years ago, people used to stop and offer lifts to others but today you could be dying on the side of the road and no one will stop to assist.
Thankfully, we reached out destination safely although in much pain.
