Hit-and-run leaves mother looking for information

The driver, once dislodged from my daughter's vehicle, raced over the intersection and never stopped.

Editor – I would be grateful if anyone in the community could provide me with further information regarding a hit-and-run.

The incident took place on December 3 at approximately 10.15am on Linksfield Road.

My daughter, my mom and I were in our car waiting to cross the intersection and drive onto the highway.

While waiting for an oncoming vehicle to pass through the intersection, a driver in a white Pajero behind us began hooting at us.

The dent made by the white Pajero.

I turned around to see what was happening and a man in his 50s was screaming at us because we did not drive across the intersection.

The man, who was extremely close to our vehicle, tried to reverse in spite of vehicles on his right and behind him.

He could not reverse enough so he drove into the back of my daughter’s vehicle causing major damage to her car.

The driver, once he had dislodged his car from my daughter’s vehicle, raced over the intersection and never stopped.

The number plate was on the left side of the Pajero.

There will be dark grey metallic paint on his left front side where he hit my daughter’s vehicle.

I am totally disgusted that someone could not wait two minutes to cross a road and has the audacity to drive away from the scene of an accident.

Witnesses can contact me on 082 652 1393.
