Locals invited to baseball fun day on June 29

Edenvale Giants/Imps Baseball Club invited all sports lovers to get creative and participate in its annual Anything but a Mitt family fun day.

The event will be on June 29 at the Edenvale Sports Grounds on the baseball diamonds.

Teams must comprise nine or 10 members.

There will be a R250 charge per team, and spectators will pay R10.

Expect the fun to start early, with registration at 08:00 and games at 09:00.

Participants are encouraged to get creative by using anything (except glass) to catch the ball during the one-hour games. Popular options include pet carriers, pillowcases, laundry baskets, hats and bags.
