Local basketball player is a promising star
During June he was selected to represent team Ekurhuleni in the inaugural U18 Gauteng Basketball League.
Skye Macfadyen (17) is showing a lot of promise in his basketball career.
He plays for the Reddam House Bedfordview school basketball team and is part of Jump Academy.
In June, he was selected to represent team Ekurhuleni in the inaugural U18 Gauteng Basketball League.

Although he only started playing basketball a few years ago, Skye has already played for the U15 Ekurhuleni boys’ team, the U15 Gauteng boys’ team and even represented South Africa at the International OR Tambo Soncini games in Italy.
“Skye excels as a forward player. He is a role model the juniors look up to.
“Last season (2023), he led the first team to achieve second place at the Inter-Reddam Tournament as the first team captain.

“A feat the school has never reached before,” said Jump Academy’s Seaparo Ramaube.
“This year, we look forward to winning that tournament and the Ekurhuleni North Championships when schools open in July,” added Ramaube.
