Edenvale High swings to success on the pitch

Edenvale High School emerged victorious after its first cricket team faced off against Edenglen High School.
The two schools recently competed in a 35-over-a-side cricket match.

Taking to the pitch first, Edenglen High’s batsmen were determined to set the bar by accumulating 156 runs.

Edenvale High’s bowlers kept the pressure on throughout the innings, with Gabriel Thorp stealing the spotlight with an incredible performance.

Taking four wickets for just 22 runs Gabriel played a crucial part during the match.

When Edenvale High took to the crease, their batsmen showcased composure and intent, confidently chasing down the target.

They secured the win with five wickets in hand and 19 overs to spare.

For his outstanding contribution on the field, Gabriel was named the man of the match.
