Entries open for 37th Dis-Chem Ride for Sight
Retina South Africa has opened entries for the 37th Dis-Chem Ride for Sight on 15 February at Boksburg City Stadium, offering 116km, 62km and 10km rides to raise funds for retinal blindness research.
Retina South Africa has announced that the entries for the 37th Dis-Chem Ride for Sight, scheduled to take place on February 15 at Boksburg City Stadium, are open.
The race, which has raised over R10m since its maiden race, is organised by volunteers under the leadership of Retina SA.
It aims to fight retinal blindness and proceeds go to projects that find treatment for the disease.

The event includes the main 116km super classic (it serves as a seeding event for next year’s Ride Joburg and the 2027 edition of The Cape Town Cycle Tour), 62km challenge and a 10km fun ride.
Christiaan Klopper won this year’s race after crossing the line in 02:35:27, while Lisa Bone successfully defended her women’s title after clocking a dominant 03:08:36.
This year’s event attracted around 3 500 cyclists and included visually-impaired and disabled riders.
