Golfing for children with cancer
In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourages childhood cancer advocacy to educate people, in the hope of promoting early detection.
The Rainbows and Smiles team hosted a golf day at the Huddle Park Golf Course as part of September Childhood Cancer Awareness month.
Mandi Higgins and her team hosted the day and golfers were treated to all kinds of amusement and games.
The day was topped off by Michael Sholtz, the trick-shot artist, providing some amazing golf magic.
Rainbows and Smiles’ primary mission is to provide emotional, social and financial support to families and caregivers in need, when a child or children of that family is diagnosed with a life threatening illness such as cancer.
In addition, Rainbows and Smiles encourages childhood cancer advocacy to educate people, in the hope of promoting early detection.
The day was a massive success and the team managed to raise almost R70 000 for children with cancer.
