Edenvale Bowling Club player competes in SA Senior Masters Tournament

The Edenvale Blowing Club’s president, Mr Gerald May, competed in the South African Senior Masters Tournament.

Only 12 players from around the country competed and Mr May was the only player from this region.

“It took me about 44 years in the game to reach this point. I have been playing since I was 16 years old. This is my first time playing in a tournament of this magnitude. Being in the top 12 of the country is a great honour,” said Mr May.

He said he has practised hard for this day.

“My bowling partner and I have been coming here to do 20, 20 and weight control. To be selected for the tournament is not through one game, but from a holistic past performance. I competed against the best,” he said.
