Edenvale FC beats Modder FC
Modderfontein came back towards the dying minutes of the first half.
The Edenvale Sports Grounds were a hive of activity on Saturday, March 28, when the Modderfontein FC and Edenvale FC clubs’ U/13 sides battled in out in a friendly match.
Although a friendly match, the game translated into a war between the two teams, who wanted nothing but the bragging rights.
The first half of the game saw Edenvale FC dominating possession, while Modderfontein was left chasing the ball for the greater part.
It took Jordan Richards’ thunderous goal to put Edenvale into the lead.
Ryan Mitchell and Tumelo Muanza drilled two more to make it three for the Edenvale lads.

Play-maker, Luke Cannon, literally carried the Modderfontein team on his shoulders.
He pushed forward to strengthen Modderfontein’s attack on goal and was always present at the defence.
Luke, a dribbling wizard, tore into Edenvale FC’s defence with a strike from range to pull one back for his team.
The match ended in a 3-1 victory for Edenvale.
