Jeppe Quondam Bowling Club players dominated the 7th Derick Burton Memorial Tournament last week.
The tournament was won by the Jeppe team.
In the second spot was another team from the club.
Third place went to the team from the Edenvale Bowling Club.
Mr Keith Anderson, from the Jeppe Quondam Bowling Club, said the tournament was held to commemorate Derek Burton.
“This is to acknowledge not only his achievements, but also the efforts he put into the social and sportsmanship of the game,” he said.
He said the tournament played over four days.
“Derik was a good bowler and a good sportsman too. Among other things, he won the South African Fours twice. He was a master and a provincial bowler,” said Mr Anderson.
