Local pupil to represent SA in karate

Benjamin will be competing against karate practitioners from around the globe.

Benjamin Coetzee, a grade 10 pupil from Edenglen High School, will be representing South Africa at an upcoming international karate championship.

The grade 10 pupil will be competing in the International Shotokan Karate Federation (ISKF) World Shoto Cup Championship from August 17 to 22.

The championship will be taking place at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) and will see karate practitioners from around the globe competing in the event.

Benjamin will be exposed to various cultures at the tournament and will have the opportunity to test his skills and share ideas with the other participants.
