Claudia Blyth, the vice-chairperson of the ERRW, said the funds raised at the marathon will be donated to charities, Scout groups and developing running clubs.
Charities include the Kidney Bean Foundation.
“The money will be used to help children with kidney-related health issues,” said Blyth.

Blyth said because the club does not have many expenses, it can afford to donate funds to the community.
“Everyone at the club is excited about this annual event.”
Blyth said the club has also sent an invitation to the event to the offices of President Cyril Ramaphosa.
