Piranhas claim regional victory
Forty-one teams from across the Gauteng area took part; however, none were a match for the Piranhas who won overall.
Thirteen swimmers from the Piranhas swimming club took to the pool when they competed in the Level 1 Regionals held at the Hillcrest pool.

With a score of 1520 points, the team was awarded the trophy for the highest average score per swimmer (116.93).
Swimmers from three training squads (The Aquatic Academy, Tigers and Debbie Mcgee) combined their efforts behind ESP Piranhas to win this gala.
The ESP committee has chosen to give the swimmers a motivational shirt for each level that the Piranhas compete in.
The top five swimmers are:
• Danika Brechenmacher who placed 164 points on the scoreboard, claiming six gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
• Adam Maule who scored 150 points and proudly wore three gold, four silver and two bronze medals.
• Mogale Kgaswe who added 128 points, with three gold, two silver and one bronze medal.
• Oratile Ndawo who racked up 126 points with one gold, one silver and four bronze medals.
• Kaitlyn Immelman who also achieved 126 points with three gold and three bronze medals.
