St Benedict’s College crowned 2026 soccer champions at Inanda
In a remarkable turnaround from last year, the St Benedict’s College soccer team is crowned the 2026 St David’s Marist Inanda Challenge Cup champions.
From quarter-final heartbreak last year to lifting the trophy this year – what a tournament from this group.
St Benedict’s College was crowned 2026 St David’s Marist Inanda Challenge Cup champions after an outstanding campaign, culminating in a 2–0 victory over St John’s College in the final.
The soccer tournament took place from August 7 to 9 at St David’s Marist Inanda.

After being knocked out in the quarter-finals last year, the 2026 team led by captain Aleco Thomas returned with determination, unity and belief.
They fought for one another, stayed composed under pressure and showed remarkable grit throughout the tournament.
