St Benedict’s hosts Keenest of the Keen Tennis Festival

The Keenest of the Keen Tennis Festival was held at St Benedict’s College from June 2 to June 3.

St Peter’s College, St John’s College, Louw Geldenhuys, Redhill School, Beaulieu Preparatory School and St Columba’s School were all attendees.

All participants received a Bennies 60th-year mug as a festival gift in celebration of the milestone.

In the fast four singles tiebreaker, the winners were: Joshua Perry from St Benedict’s College in first place, Judah Townsend from St Benedict’s College in second place, Luke Crase from St Columba’s School in third place and Lucas Kruger from Louw Geldenhuys in fourth place.

The fast four doubles winners were Joshua Perry and Connor Odgers, Marciano Teixeira and Judah Townsend from St Benedict’s College, and Philip Joubert and Harry Gardner from Louw Geldenhuys.

Marciano Teixeira, Judah Townsend, Thomas Wilke and Ethan Uys beat Beaulieu 31-5, Redhill 56-16, Louw Geldenhuys 2 28-8 and lost against Louw Geldenhuys 1 19-17.

All three couples ended up on 38 points.

Second place went to Thomas Wilke and Ethan Uys from St Benedict’s College.
