4-2 victory for Edenglen High’s soccer team in Discovery Knock Out Cup semi-finals

Edenvale rivals battle it out in semi-finals

Edenglen High School faced off against Edenvale High School in the semi-finals of the Discovery Knock Out Cup which Edenglen won.

The two schools went head to head at Reddam House Bedfordview on September 3.

After a slow start to the match, EGHS took the lead in the first half.

The Edenglen High School Soccer team which won the semi-final match of the Discovery Knock Out Cup against Edenvale High School. Edenglen won the match 4-2.

Five minutes before half-time Edenvale equalised the score at 1-1.

In the closing minutes of the first half, Edenglen’s captain blasted in a free shot and scored another goal.

Not to be outdone, Edenvale fought back and scored a second goal at the start of the second half.

Continuing through the second half Edenglen scored another two goals bringing the final score to 4-2.

Despite their success in the semi-finals, Edenglen was defeated by North Riding Secondary School in the finals.
