Bennies and Jeppe rowers take silver at World Rowing Junior Championships
The team was narrowly beaten by Germany in the A Final of the Junior u-19 Coxed Fours.
St Benedict’s College rowers along with fellow rowers from Jeppe High School for Boys attained a silver medal at the 2019 World Rowing Junior Championships over the weekend.
The event took place in Tokyo, Japan.
The team was narrowly beaten by Germany in the A Final of the Junior u-19 Coxed Fours.
The boys came in at 06:32.710.
Making up the team was Sebastian Prince from Jeppe Boys and from Bennies Bakang Sebitlaone, Daton Wolfaardt, Nathan Fletcher and Brandon Janse Van Vuuren.
The team was led by Coach Thato Mokoena.
The SA Team is expected to arrive back in SA on August 13.
