Fun had at Steve Botha Memorial Gala

Fourteen swimmers from Active Aquanauts Swim School competed in the annual Steve Botha Memorial Gala, where its team finished fifth overall.

Held on October 12, the gala saw many of the school’s swimmers receive gold, silver and bronze medals and place in the top eight.

Kate Jones from the swim school said the swimmers’ and teachers’ hard work had paid off.

“The purpose of these galas is to learn to compete in a fun and loving environment,” said Jones.

“The swimmers wanted to know when the next gala is, so I believe they enjoyed the experience.”
