Residents invited to Christmas house

The home of Doreen and her husband, Des, has been open to visitors for the past 26 years.

In their home, thousands of families were treated to the magical story of how Father Christmas gets presents to millions of people each year.

Des died in March last year, but with the help of volunteers from the community, Doreen once again opened her home to approximately 1 800 guests at the end of 2012.

Des and Doreen’s home will open again this Christmas.

Guests will find a small part of the North Pole on the corner of Mullins and Oxford Roads on the border of Bedfordview and Kensington. Doors will open from 7pm until 9pm, each night from December 4 to 24. Entrance is free and donations will go to charity.
