Eskom calls on customers to switch off non-essential appliances.

The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality urged its residents to note the loadshedding alert issued by Eskom for today from 10am to 10pm.

Residents are encouraged to use electricity sparingly by switching off geysers, unused plugs, air conditioners, pool pups and all non-essential appliances throughout the day to reduce electricity demand.

Loadshedding schedules are available on the local authority’s website.
