Joburg’s Best Day Out has just stepped up the already out of this world entertainment line-up with some seriously egg-citing news.
The Rand Show has always been synonymous with Easter time fun for the whole family and this year Easter is coming to the show in a big way with one of the biggest Easter egg hunts that Jo’burg has ever seen.
With over 75 000 Beacon Easter eggs to be found this is no ‘yolk’. It’s one jumbo hunt, sponsored by Beacon, with a hefty haul for chocolate lovers across the city. Anyone can join in the fun, so come on down to the Rand Show this Easter weekend, April 19-21, and let the hunt begin.
All you have to do to be part of it is to hop on over to the Beacon Easter start station where you can meet the Beacon Easter Bunny, have your picture taken with him and get your very own treasure map to the feast of fun.
Not your traditional old Easter hunt, egg-splorers will be treated to a bunch of thrills as you follow the map, solve the clues that will be handed out by some of your favourite Beacon characters and whizz your way back to the bunny to collect your Beacon Easter spoils.

The entertainment at this year’s 125th anniversary of the Rand Show is jam-packed with activities to keep the kiddies entertained, so after the hunt make sure you pop into the KidZone at Hall 8 where your littlies can bounce around on jumping castles, take a ride in the rocket, take on some competitors in games of table tennis, foosball and air hockey and enjoy an exciting train ride.
The KidZone is fully supervised and face painters will also be on hand to turn them into their favourite characters.
