Take note of planned power interruption

The maintenance work is expected to be completed within a 14-hour time frame.

Benoni business and residents are urged to prepare for a 14-hour planned power interruption on September 13, from 08:00 to 22:00.

The outage is as a result of Eskom technicians conducting maintenance work on two Benoni Bulk substations.

The outage is expected to affect:

• Benoni South industrial area
• Wattville Hostel
• Wattville
• Emandleni
• Msholozi
• Farrarmere
• Lakefield
• Western Extension
• Northmead
• Brentwood Park
• Goedeburg
• Norton Home Estate
• Benoni small farms
• Parts of Rynfield Agricultural Holdings
• Parts of Rynfield

During this time residents are advised to treat all electrical networks as live.
