Knitwits for Madiba meet in Watville

This forms part of the My Body my Space Festival, which takes place from February 2 to 7.

Lots of activities will be featured and issues related to gender violence and HIV/Aids explored.

Crochet lessons will take place throughout the day.

The goal is to collect 21 000 blankets from around South Africa, before April.

These blankets will be displayed at the Nelson Mandela statue, at the Union Buildings, on the April 21.

This is to celebrate 21 years of democracy in our country.

The community is encouraged to get involved in this do-good movement.
