Local designs at Miss Portugal South Africa pageant

Do not miss this glamorous evening at Carnival City’s  Big Top Arena, which promises a full line-up of beauty, elegance and entertainment, all be proudly Portuguese.

The audience can also look forward to performances by:

  • Multi-award winning band : MICASA (singing in English and Portuguese)
  • Portuguese Singer and songwriter : Leandro Coimbra
  • Portuguese Singer : Katia Dias
  • Fado Tocado by : Jacinta Demetrio (violin) Manuel Augusto (Portuguese guitar) and Arnaldo Carvalho (classic guitar)

Also a modelling coach at Marisela Veludo Modelling School and Performing Arts, Veludo will coach and choreograph their opening act for the event.

Veludo feels passionate about delivering traditional Portuguese culture through fashion.

“I am designing traditional Portuguese smart casual dresses, which are called the Azure Impressions Collection,” said Veludo.

The collection will be revealed on the crowning night, when the finalists stage a proudly Portuguese modelling performance called “Esperanca”, choreographed and coached by Veludo.

“It is being kept quite a secret, as I want the collection to be a surprise to the general public,” she said.
