Fire stunt postponed to Saturday
The rain watered down the chance to fire up Carnival City’s main parking area on Saturday, but stuntmen Enrico Schoeman (60) and André de Kock (62) are not going down without a fight.
The fire stunt show would have seen two of SA’s oldest stuntmen, who used to race at the Dunswart Oval Raceway in Benoni, riding the gauntlet through a tunnel of raging flames and crashing a burning car through a pyramid of burning car wrecks.
But don’t fear, these daring stunts will now take place this Saturday at the same venue, at 6pm.
Last Saturday’s event saw a static display of new and currently owned Harley-Davidson motorcycles and news reporters from various publications judging the five motorbikes according to their preference of the top three.
The duo have invited everyone to visit the parking lot this coming Saturday to be enthralled by their stunts.
Schoeman will also auction his motorbike which he has used in numerous stunts.
“It is a Yamaha 1984 model which I bought brand new,” Schoeman said.
“All of the money raised will be given to the Cansa foundation.”
If the bids are high enough, he will also auction his helmet, which holds sentimental value for him.
