Jordan du Plessis (9), from Rynfield Primary School, recently took three gold medals at the South African Primary School Athletics Championships, in Sasolburg.

Running against South Africa’s most talented athletes, he won both the 80m and the 100m sprint finals.

Jordan’s u-10 relay team also took a gold medal in the 4 x 100m relay, and broke the SA record by over second.

This Gauteng relay team contained another East Rand sprinter, Wessel van der Nest, from Laerskool Northmead.
