Sweet skills

The desire for an X-box has compelled three primary school children to think out of the box and fulfil their wish in an entrepreneurial way.

Joshua Rodwell (10), from Kathstan College, Liam Rodwell (12) and Robbie Moore (10), from Rynfield Primary School, decided to sell lemonade and popcorn to fund their X-box.

The trio sat on the pavement at the corner of O’Reilly Merry and Elliot streets, in Rynfield, shortly after the school holiday’s commenced.

They also roped in several other friends to help with the sale of their goods.

Joshua and Robbie were at the intersection again on July 12, and have already raised about R500 in sales and sponsors – R1 500 short of their goal.

They also made their own advertising board to advertise their products.

‘‘I also want to raise money for a car,’’ said Joshua.
