Four cyclists knocked over by a vehicle
Four men between the ages of 20 and 50 were knocked off their bicycles by a light motor vehicle on Vlei Road in Rynfield, on September 5.
According to eyewitnesses, the men and the vehicle that knocked them over, were all travelling in the same direction.
According to Vanessa Jackson, ER24 spokesperson, paramedics were called to the scene and found that the men were sitting on the side of the road, close to their mangled bicycles.
She added that they had only suffered minor injuries despite the damage to their bicycles.
They were treated by paramedics and were transported to local hospitals by ambulance.
“The driver, who was the only occupant of the light motor vehicle, suffered no physical injuries and he left the scene privately,” added Jackson.
Local authorities were also on scene and will be investigating the details surrounding what took place.
