LifeLine holds AGM
LifeLine Ekurhuleni held their 43rd annual general meeting on August 31.

A variety of matters, ranging from fund-raising issues to the intermediary project and the election of new board members was discussed at the meeting.
LifeLine Ekurhuleni director Megan Briedé reported on the progress the organisation has made during the 2012/2013 financial year.
In total, LifeLine reached 3 737 people through direct counselling services, which most often entailed several follow-up sessions with the client, as an ongoing service delivery.
Over 62 000 people were also reached through awareness raising activities throughout the year.
Briedé highlighted the fact that the intermediary project exceeded its target of 270 for the year and reached 419 child victims of sexual assault and children who needed assistance to testify in court.
Funding challenges that the organisation faced and continues to face in the new financial year were also discussed at the AGM.
Three new board members, San-Rita Naidoo, Glynis Holdsworth and Victor Nhlane, were elected.
The chairman, vice-chairman and secretary will be elected on September 17, at the board meeting.
