The top two students during the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams at Liverpool Secondary School were Cletos Nyika and Shivaani Pillay.

Liverpool Secondary School pupil Cletos Nyika obtained five distinctions in the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams. These were for physical science, economics, business studies, accounting and life orientation.

Liverpool Secondary School pupil Shivaani Pillay obtained six distinctions in the 2013 National Senior Certificate exams. She obtained the distinctions in Afrikaans first additional language, mathematics, life orientation, accounting, economics and mathematics paper three (probability, data handling and geometry). She will study towards a computer science qualification at the University of Pretoria.
