Book your seat at the dairy day

Belnori Boutique Cheesery will host its second annual MPO Gauteng Dairy Day, at its premises, on April 1.

The award-winning cheesery, which is situated just outside Bapsfontein, invites rural folk to attend the information day.

“Many people on small holdings have some form of dairy animals and would find the day interesting,” said Belnori’s owner Rina Belcher.

“This event, last year, was a huge success and it’s indicative that there is a thirst for knowledge and a need to have events such as these.”

There will be 30 exhibitors on the day, who will offer goods and services to people in the dairy industry.

Items such as milk machines, veterinary supplies, feed suppliers, feed supplements, cheese requisites, cheese moulds, packaging, label machines and designs and financial services will be on offer.

Belcher said several experts will give talks.

Johan Herholdt will talk on the control of flies, Poena van Niekerk (president of the SA Jersey Association and a milk goat breeder) will talk on animal feed and Danie Visser on Kolbroek Pigs (Visser is a world renowned expert on this subject).

Refreshments will be available.

There is limited space for people who would like to attend the event.

To book your seat, contact Belcher on 082 377 5698.
