Superspar manager speaks out about dog chaining

The security guard responsible for chaining a dog to a shutter at the Superspar, in the Benoni CBD, has been fired.

The store’s manager, Yiani Athanasiou, told the City Times this morning that the guard was fired for the ”unfortunate accident”.

He said the German Shepherd was chained to the entrance for 10 minutes while the guard went to the bathroom, but should have been taken to its kennel at the store.
