Zama Montessori scores with Rotary Aurora and other warm hearts

On Mandela Day the Rotary Club of Benoni Aurora and its Rotaract Club was involved in securing old soccer posts, which were donated by Old Bens Football Club, at the Zama Montessori Centre, in Putfontein.

A sponsorship from Acsis Ltd enabled the club to purchase new nets and paint to refurbish the old soccer posts.

They broke down a stone wall, which was used to lay a path in the natural playground under development at the school.

Students from Brockinton College, in England, were involved in this project, as were some other companies, that arrived on the day, to help.

Lunch was also donated and prepared for the children by the club, while the college provided some coaching sessions for the children, where after a 67-minute soccer match was played.

The club was also involved with two other Mandela Day projects.
