Stunning wood creations on show
There were beautiful wooden creations to satisfy every wood lover, at the East Rand Woodworker’s Association's (Erwa) 11th annual Woodworking Fair, on September 13.
Held at the Northfield Methodist Church, the fair attracted a large number of woodworkers, whose stunning wood creations enthralled visitors.
Founder member of Erwa Georg Stroebel was pleased with the turnout.
As usual the event boasted a wide variety of different woodcraft and attracted artists from as far as Pretoria.
The exhibition included neatly finished vases and bowls, specially designed guitars, furniture pieces, ships, clocks and a coronation coach, similar to the one used by Queen Elizabeth in her inauguration in 1947.
Erwa meets every third Wednesday of the month and invites woodworkers and those with an interest in woodwork, to join the association.
