Less than expected turn out at charity dinner
There was a lower than expected turnout at the fund-raiser dinner, for the Care and Share Christmas Party, on Saturday, November 22.
Organiser Audrey Todd said a lot of people were given tickets to the show at U-Turn Bistro, with the promise that they would pay on the night.
Although many of these people failed to pitch, Todd said those who were there had a good time.
The audience enjoyed a buffet meal and were entertained by SheZ, dancers from Eezy Dance Social Standard Ballroom and Latin Dance School.
The proceeds of the night will benefit approximately 250 children from Kids Haven, Benoni Child Welfare, Angel Wings Todd is still in need of these items, for the Care and Share Christmas Party, on Saturday, November 29:
22 soccer and rugby balls; n soft sweets for 250 children; n paint and brushes for face painting; n cheese spread.
