Monaco’s twins take pressure off Princess Charlene and Family
Monegasques and Princess Charlene’s parents (Mike nd Lynette Wittstock) in Benoni were in a state of elation on Wednesday, December 10, following the birth of Princess Gabriella Thérèse Marie and her brother, Prince Jacques Honoré Rainier.

The rumours and speculation of an unhappy marriage which have plagued the royal couple since their wedding day on July 2, 2011, must surely have been laid to rest with the birth of the twins, who were delivered by Caesarian section, after the princess was admitted to the Princess Grace Hospital.
Gabriella arrived shortly before her brother, but, in the tradition of the principality, he, as the boy, will be first in line for the throne
A proud Mike Wittstock, commended the birth of the twins as a job well done and added that the birth of the twins will relieve a great deal of the pressure placed on both Princess Charlene and Prince Albert.
Lynette Wittstock is now a grandmother of four; Princess Charlene’s brothers, Sean and Gareth, each have a child their own, both of whom are just over one year old.
Sean still lives in Benoni with his wife, Chantelle, and their son, while Gareth and his longtime partner, Roisin Galvin, moved to Monaco when his sister took up residency in the principality, to keep her company and to help her adjust to her new environment in the Pink Palace before her marriage.
Princess Charlene’s grandmother, Sylvia Wittstock, who is a resident in the Rynpark Old Age Home, in Benoni, will have two more pictures to add to those she already has of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren on her bedroom walls.
I have seen the princess in the company of children through her charity work over the past four years and she has always articulated her love for children and how important it is for every adult to care for and love any child they meet or with whom they interact.
Our first meeting was in, February 2, 2011, in a little Portuguese restaurant in Northmead.
She shared great jokes and intimate family pictures of herself and her prince, together with their dogs, Monte and Carlo, with me.
She also conveyed a profound testimony on love and fairytales, saying: “Whenever an woman meets a man who loves her enough to marry her and they are blessed with children, that is the best fairytale in the world.”
Her father appears to second this belief: “The twins are a true reflection and validation of the Prince and Princess’s love for each other,” he said.
Her pregnancy has been one of the most anticipated events for royal watchers all over the world.
Since her marriage to Prince Albert in 2011, they have been waiting in anticipation for Princess Charlene to give birth to a legitimate heir for the principality.
Prince Albert, has two illegitimate children who cannot inherit the throne.
On Friday night, May 30, 2014, the day her pregnancy was announced, the Benoni City Times called an excited and frantic Mike, who shared the news that his daughter would be having twins.
“Since that day, my phone has not stopped ringing; I have been receiving
calls from all over and today I just want to take a back-seat and be a proud grandfather,” he said on Thursday morning.
Lynette will soon travel to Monaco to be at her daughter’s side, as she has done when Sean and Gareth’s children were born.
Benonians can revel in yet another strong, blonde statuesque beauty who has contributed greatly to the image of the city across the globe.
