Robbers catch man by surprise
A 65-year-old man was tied up during a house robbery in Thom Street, Rynfield, on March 24.

At around 8.20am, the resident, who was expecting company, opened his door to two men armed with a firearm.
“The suspects pushed the man inside and tied his hands,” said Lieut Nomsa Sekele, Benoni SAPS spokesperson.
“They left him in the lounge and ransacked the whole house.
“Two other suspects, who had been waiting outside, joined the others.”
Sekele said after 10 to 15 minutes, when it was silent, the resident untied himself and went outside to search for the robbers, who had already left.
The resident called the police and a case of house robbery has been opened.
The suspects are still at large and police are investigating.
